  • Obama’s New Cabinet Choices – All Socialist Disasters!

Let’s take a look at the new President elects Cabinet choices and determine if our country is in store for this so called “Hope and Change”. Here are his stellar appointees:

Sen. Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State. – Will she lead the government towards positive change? For smaller government?

Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) Obama’s pick to lead the 7-year-old Department of Homeland Security.

Obama signaled early on what kind of Cabinet he would recruit when he named Rahm Emanuel – a veteran of the Clinton administration – and a fellow member of Congress, as his White House Chief of Staff.

The announcement of the labor nominee, Rep. Hilda L. Solis (D-Calif.), the daughter of a union family who has a strongly pro-labor voting record

Obama’s choice for education secretary, Chicago schools chief executive Arne Duncan, has kept a foot in both camps of the education reform debate.

Obama’s selection for agriculture secretary, former Iowa governor Tom Vilsack (D) was cheered by groups representing big agricultural interests, which praise him for his support of biotechnology and subsidies for corn-based ethanol.

Thomas A. Daschle, a former Senate majority leader, is expected to take the lead in pushing universal health care Obama has named him not only the head of the Health and Human Services Department but also leader of a new White House Office of Health Reform.

On climate change – Carol M. Browner, a close confidant of Al Gore’s who served as head of the Environmental Protection Agency under Bill Clinton and who will serve in the new role of White House energy czar. Have you noticed the word “czar” has been mentioned quite a bit lately. Hmmmmm.

The economic team, most notably Obama’s strong-willed chief economic adviser, former Treasury secretary Lawrence H. Summers, and Paul A. Volcker, the former Federal Reserve chairman who will be leading a new economic advisory board.

The Cabinet nominees are a fairly diverse lot. There are five women, if one includes Jackson and Susan E. Rice, the nominee for U.N. ambassador, whose positions Obama considers Cabinet-rank. (Also named yesterday to head the sub-Cabinet Small Business Administration was Karen Mills, a Maine businesswoman.) There are three Hispanics, four African Americans and two Republicans Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates and Ray LaHood, a retiring Illinois congressman who was named yesterday to be secretary of transportation.

Perhaps as a result of the pressures Obama felt to increase the Cabinet’s diversity and reward supporters he chose New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, one of three Hispanic nominees, even though he is not the most obvious fit for the Commerce Department. And Ray LaHood is not a noted authority on transportation.

He’s clearly been under great pressure to satisfy any number of constituencies” said Paul C. Light of New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service and a contributor to The Washington Post.

Is this how e expect and want our elected officials to nominate their cabinet members? By kissing everyone’s behind? What kind of insanity is this? This is the way this particular party and now all politicians operate. They are only concerned with how they are perceived by the voters – not in actually what their policies are doing to society – very sad – and this MUST be changed. Those appointed should be the most qualified for the position with regard to nothing else. By choosing buddies and kissing butt to appease “EVERYONE” – you and your policies are doomed for failure.

Peter Wehner, a former senior adviser to President Bush, warned that placing too much emphasis on pragmatism could leave the Obama team rudderless and without intellectual cohesion. “Pragmatism has its place, but there are limits, as well,” said Wehner. “If you aren’t anchored to a political philosophy, you get blown about, and government becomes ad hoc and you make it up as you go and if you’re not careful, you begin to go in circles.” - great quote – this is what is exactly happening TODAY!

And you can forget about the current administration caring about the “little guy” – you know that one in the mid west or the plains or the rural south? The ones that – you know “cling to their bibles and guns”. John Norquist, a former Milwaukee mayor and head of the Congress for the New Urbanism, said the prevalence of big-city nominees, along with the Chicago roots of Obama and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, suggest that the country’s big metro areas will be getting far more consideration.

“His appointments indicate small change,” said Ronnie Cummins, director of the Organic Consumers Association. “The latest polls show that 60 percent of Americans say we’re in serious straits and need some major changes . . . but he’s going to have to be pushed if we’re going to see anything other than small change.”

The new President elect spoke of change alright – and we’re going to get it. The change will come in the form of a significantly larger government and a society of Socialism. The government alreday owns parts of most of the major industries, has put $250 Billion into Bank stocks and is hoping that YOU will one day be dependent on them for all your needs.

The current administration is power hungry just as all our politicians have become. They want power over YOU – that guarantees them the votes that they live and die for. Roger Waters said “whoever desperately wants to be President of the United States – is completely unfit for the position” George Washington did not want to run for his second term – he was only coaxed and talked into doing it again – think about it. Think of where their true ambitions lie.

We the People are in for a very different next four years and beyond. In a year or two with this administration making the decisions – you may not even recognize this country. You will think it is Russia or Cuba or China – but that is what these leaders want – there will soon be one government, one form of currency and one bank- you think I’m crazy – let’s see how time plays this out. I hope and pray I am wrong but from what I see the future of the average, freedom thinking, Capitalism loving, taxpaying American is in big trouble.

Join me today and stand up for what you believe in. It is not too late. Make your voice heard today and let’s stop Socialism in its tracks.
